Kara Hahn & Jake Ackman first met at COM prom, a formal dance for new graduate students at BU's communications program. After instantly bonding at COM prom Kara, Jake, and a few other friends went out to explore their new home - Boston. (Thank goodness the local, Jake, was able to be their personal tour guide.) Kara forgot her high heels in Jake's car (shocking she was barefoot in public) and ever since he returned them they became close friends.

Jake is no fool, and after being friends for a year, he realized what a smart, pretty, and kindhearted friend he had. One night Jake mustered up the courage to tell Kara he liked her and thought they should try dating. At first Kara was unsure, and she may or may not have laughed at the prospect. But after taking a trip home and realizing all the stories she told and pictures she showed included Jake, she could no longer deny what a smart, funny, and handsome guy he was. She decided to give him a shot.

SPOILER ALERT: it was the right decision.

After dating for a couple years and having an amazing time together, Jake was once again brave enough to invite Kara to live with him . There was an added bonus to moving in: Kara could bring the cutest dog in the world, a.k.a. Killer, to come live as part of their family. Moving in brought a lot of incredible memories, from backyard barbecues, re-doing the kitchen, getting engaged, and most importantly, watching the Patriots win Superbowl 49.

Eventually Kara & Jake shipped out of Boston to move way out west to Denver, Colorado, where they live now (don't worry, Killer is with them, too). They are ecstatic their family and friends will get to experience their new home on what we hope to be a majestic night, August 26, 2017.
